The Estate Agents Public Register provides details of estate agents who are currently banned from engaging in estate agency work or who have received a formal warning under the Estate Agents Act 1979.

The register can be browsed either alphabetically or by date.

While every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is accurate, occasionally factual or printing errors may occur. If you identify information which appears to be incorrect or omitted, or if you have any information of suspected breaches by an estate agent of a warning or banning order, or have other enquiries about the Register please email john.webb@oft.gsi.gov.uk or chris.garland@oft.gsi.gov.uk.

The Estate Agents Register is a publicly available register as provided for by law and the Office of Fair Trading is not responsible for, nor does it endorse or make any representations regarding any use made of the data on the register by third parties.

Under section 6 of the Estate Agents Act 1979, anyone affected by a Prohibition or Warning Order can at any time, and on payment of a fee, currently £2,500, apply to the Office of Fair Trading for the Order to be varied or revoked.
